This moderate paced (10-12mph) road ride starts in Halifax and heads out towards Rishworth, where we stop for coffee. We continue towards Delph crossing the M62 at its highest point near Windy Hill, giving panoramic views of the South Pennines and beyond. The ride will take in a section of the disused railway line, known as the Delph Donkey, before stopping for lunch. We will return to Halifax via Buckstones or Milnrow, depending upon time and weather conditions. This ride includes some long gradients and descents, making it suitable for reasonably fit cyclists.
